This year we will be going later inthe Summer than usual in order to accommodate those teens who are going on their highschool European Band trips.For the past 15 years, we have partnered with <strong>Catholic</strong> Heart Work Camp for our week ofservice. What do we do at Camp? We help the elderly and marginalized maintain theirhomes and dignity. We are God's hands and feet for these people.Nice words, but what do we really do? We paint, clean, do yard work, work in soup kitchens & food pantries, help in daycare & senior centers,do minor repairs in homes, schools, Y's, local churches and parks. Clean gutters, build & paint fences, replace windows, help with Habitat for Humanity, weed & harvest atfood co-op gardens, and the list goes on.Participant Information:This experience is open to any student who will be in high school in the Fall of 2013. It is also open to thosewho will graduate high school in May of 2013. Priority is given to registered Parishioners.The fee, which includes registration, transportation, housing, and meals for Sunday through Friday will be$400. You may make installment payments. All campers must be paid in full by June 15, 2013. Sign up formsare available in the Parish Office. You will need to include a deposit of $85 with the form to hold your spoton this year’s Mission Trip.Don't wait - the 55 spots fill quickly!!Liturgy of the Word for ChildrenNews You Can Use!As we return to school and Fall activities and schedules, I warmly welcome you to reconnect toour faith community in a more dedicated way to the opportunities we have available to broaden our children’sfaith experiences. One way is to attend Mass regularly and we warmly welcome all school agedchildren who are at least 5 years old and up to attend Liturgy of the Word for Children. We also welcomemiddle school aged students who can participate in LWC by helping to lead prayers, act out gospelstories, help with puppet presentations, etc. All are welcome to come and see what we are all about!LWC will resume from its summer hiatus on Sunday, <strong>Sep</strong>tember 16, 2012 at the 9:30am Mass.We have some very exciting things planned for <strong>Sep</strong>tember 16th as well as for the coming monthsas we weave the children’s weekly liturgy experiences with their faith formation experiences. We allare “Finding God Together”! These faith formation events and themed celebrations of our liturgicalyear help all of us to form lasting connections to God’s Word. Truly, the Holy Spirit is working in thelives of our creative, dynamic ministry team as well as in the lives of all of the children who participate!At this time, we are welcoming new members to our amazing, dedicated, and fun-loving LWCteam.
