Case Study - Julien Macdonald, Notting HillKey InformationClient:Julien MacdonaldValue: £75kLocation:Notting Hill, LondonArchitect:First Choice Build GroupProject Manager:ClientProject OverviewFC Group were appointed byJulien Macdonald, a leadingBritish Fashion Designer, to fitouttheir new office premisesin Ledbury Mews, London.The aim was to create a bright,light and airy space,reminiscent of a large beachhut, to enhance the creativespirit of the Julien Macdonaldteam.Working closely with the JulienMacdonald’s team and with avery quick lead-in and start,this fast track strip and fit-outproject was completed over a 3week period.The project involved a strip outof the two floors and therefurbishment of the officespace, including a significantspiral staircase and works tothe external of the building.The scope of works includedthe laying of a new woodenfloor; new carpets and newtiles to the toilets;re-decoration and painting ofthe Spiral Staircase; newjoinery work including saloondoors and partitions; electricalworks; some plumbing andremedial works to the tea pointand toilet area; alternations tothe existing lighting; additionallighting and some generalrepair work.The external works includedthe removal of moss from theroof; repair works to thewindows; cleaning andpainting of the windows androller shutter door; newironmongery and smallmaintenance work.Challenge Working in conjunction with client’s design requirements with a short lead in time and tightmoving in date.No photography allowed
