This follows the UniversitySenate approved amendment of the IPGS GeneralAcademic Regulations to operationalise theseregulations.The Institute of Post-Graduate Studies has alsointroduced semester-to-semester progression ofall fi rst year students.Review of Academic General Regulations forPost-Graduate, Master’s and Ph.D. ProgrammesThe Institute of Post-Graduate Studies is currentlyreviewing its Academic General Regulations (for postgraduate,Master’s degree, and Ph.D. programmes) toremove any ambiguity and/or repetition among thethree sets of Regulations.Introduction of New Ph.D. Programme Duringthe 2011/2012 Academic YearThe Institute of Post-Graduate Studies will be offeringa Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in AgriculturalREPORT OF THE VICE CHANCELLOR 8206
