Car les « mauvaises»herbes sont assez nombreuses dans les rizières, où se développe l'association à Oryza sativaet Cyperus difformis (Oryzo-Cyperetum) avec, en particulier, Echinoch/oa oryzoides( = Panicum crus-ga//i ssp. orvzoides), Echinoch/oa crus-ga//i X oryzoides, Scirpus mucronatus.• m - La ripisilve : le Popu/etum a/bae qui s'étend sur les rives du Rhône peut égaiementêtre observé le long des canaux à l'intérieur de la Camargue. Sa pauvreté floristique doitêtre soulignée.Il - La roselière et la ripisilve à La Capelière, commune d'Arles.A La Capelière nous avons visité une très remarquable exposition sur la Camargue, puisnous avons emprunté le parcours botanique situé à proximité immédiate du siège de laRéserve et disposé autour d'une roubine : la végétation appartient essentiellement à deuxgrands ensembles, la roselière à Phragmites austra/is et la ripisilve à Popu/us a/ba. (AIt. 1 rn)(UTM : FJ 32 21 = FJ 32 ; FE : FJ 2 ; 2,5637 EX 48,3725 grades).1 - La roselière : à cet ensemble appartiennent :Phragmites austra/isLythrum sa/icariaAlisma p/antago-aquaticaTypha angustifo/iaGa/ium mo//ugo ssp. e/atum Syme /ris pseudecorus,espèces auxquelles se mêlent des plantes de prairies marécageuses comme Eleocharispa/ustrisssp. pa/ustris et Eleocharis unig/umis ssp. unig/umis ou des plantes de prairies humidescomme Carex distens. En bordure de la roubine se développe sur une bande assez étroite laripisilve à Popu/us a/ba.2 - La ripisilve : nous avons pu y observer :Popu/us a/baSa/ix a/ba ssp. a/baV/mus minor (= U. cempestris) Crataegus monogyna ssp, monogynaOphiog/ossum vu/gatum Arist%chia rotundaCornus sanguinea ssp. sanguineaUn frêne à larges feuilles étiqueté Fraxinus oxycarpa (nom valide : Fraxinus angustifo/iassp. oxycerpel n'est pas correctement identifié selon M. P. MARTIN, qui y voit plutôt Fraxinusamericana déjà signalé à La Capelière par G. TALLON.Nous avons pu voir encore: Amorpha fruticosa : c'est une Légumineuse arbustive originaired'Amérique du Nord, notée pour la première fois par DUPIN; elle a été signalée par B.GIRERD dans le Vaucluse et nous l'avons vue nous-mêmes très abondante dans le mêmedépartement à Caderousse.Nous avons encore relevé la présence, à proximité du siège de la Réserve, de : Rubus u/mifo/ius,Hedera he/ix ssp. he/ix, Brachypodium phoenicoides et Phi//yrea angustJfo/ia; peutêtres'agit-il de la variété rosrnarinifo/ia Ait. que G. TALLON a notée en Camargue. Alors queTamarix ga//ica est abondant un peu partout, on note en bordure de la route une pelouse àCarex chaetophy//a Steud., espèce que BRAUN-BLANQUET considère comme caractéristiquedu faciès humide de la pelouse à Brachypodium phoenicoides ; cette plante est inclusepar FLORA EUROPAEA dans Carex divisa, dont il est difficile de la distinguer. Dans le mêmeensemble, a été notée la présence de Tetrsçonolabus maritimus ssp. si/iquosus Murb. : c'estune découverte intéressante car en Camargue c'est la sous-espèce maritimus qui est commune; se distinguant de cette dernière par sa pilosité, la sous-espèce si/iquosus « doit êtrerecherchée ailleurs» (qu'à Marignane) selon R. MOUNIER.Nous nous sommes ensuite dirigés vers Salin de Badon, où A. PASTRE et Ch. BERNARDnous ont présenté le milieu camarguais. Leur exposé (voir plus haut), particulièrement clair, aété très applaudi. Avant de déjeuner, nous nous sommes éloignés un peu pour étudier lavégétation halophile.
