Characteristics<br />
Medium alloy CrMoV based special hot work tool steel with good wearing characteristics at higher<br />
temperatures. Good tempering properties, good high-temperature strength, very good high-temperature<br />
toughness, low hardening temperature.<br />
Applications<br />
Extrusion tools including pipe extruders, especially liners for pressing aluminium alloys, liner holders, and<br />
especially outer mantles for external heating, die holders and die backers.<br />
Delivered condition<br />
Annealed to max. 250 HB<br />
Hardened and tempered to customer specifi cation on request<br />
