The Group’s Bio-Technology Center provides importanttechnical support for the Group’sprogress, focusing on tissue culturesfor flowers and nursery plants. TheCenter produces as many as 10 millionplants per year with its 10,000 m 2 tissueculture building and 10,000 m 2greenhouse. Currently, the Center isfocusing on Gerbera cultures.After initial meetings with Philips,Shanghai Xinghui Group’s Bio-Technology Center expressed intenseinterest in Philips GreenPower TLED.The Group wanted to record andanalyze a test of this technology for agiven period, and evaluate the potentialof adopting of this technology in all ofthe Center’s tissue culture rooms.Gerbera is the primary product ofXinghui Group’s Bio-Technology Center,so the Center performed the test in theGerbera culture room. At the beginningof this year, Philips horticulturespecialists assisted in installing andtesting a considerable quantity ofGreenPower TLEDs.“The energy savings are incredible.
