The Residence was designed by
Balthasar Neumann and built from
1720 through 1744. It is considered
one of the most important
palaces in all of Europe. What
makes the Residence so unique
is the combination of architecture
and ingenious interior design. The
frescos above the grand staircase
and in the impressive Imperial
Hall by the Venetian G.B. Tiepolo
are world famous. Don’t forget to
visit the Garden Hall, the White
Hall and the Mirror Cabinet.
You will come away thoroughly
impressed.
