2012 Jeffrey J. Zogg Build New York Entrants<br />
1) Aurora Contractors – Sysco Long Island<br />
This $61 million Design/Build Project spans nearly 425,000 SF<br />
on 40 acres of property in Central Islip, Long Island. The entire<br />
complex was composed of a 180,000 SF Freezer Warehouse,<br />
150,000 SF Dry Warehouse, 65,000 SF of office space, 12000 SF<br />
Maintenance Building and a Product Test Kitchen.<br />
2) Aurora Contractors – Nassau Community College<br />
Life Sciences Building<br />
This $30 million, three-story, 75,000 SF building houses stateof-the-art<br />
chemistry labs, computer and instructional classrooms<br />
and houses a premier nursing simulation laboratory that mimics<br />
an actual hospital environment. The project incorporates the<br />
latest in green building by collecting rain water through a series<br />
of underground cisterns for landscape irrigation and has applied<br />
for a LEED Gold certification.<br />

3) Barr & Barr, Inc – New York Hospital Queens<br />
This major modernization project included a new five story,<br />
100,000 sf. West Wing Addition and 30,000 sf. of renovations to<br />
adjoining areas of the existing hospital. The scope of the project<br />
also changed last minute to relocate a planned 3 story above<br />
ground parking of the structure and moved it underground.<br />

4) E.W. Howell – Brooklyn Botanic Garden Visitors Center<br />
This 20,000 SF visitor center replaced a modest gate on<br />
Washington Avenue with an enticing entry into the 52-acre<br />
Garden. The center incorporates numerous environmentally<br />
sustainable features-most notably a 10,000 SF living roof and<br />
has applied for LEED Gold Certification.<br />
5) Hueber Breuer – SUNY ESF, Centennial Hall<br />
Named in honor of SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry’s<br />
100 anniversary, it provides the first housing exclusively for ESF<br />
students. Centennial Hall is the largest wood frame modular<br />
structure in Central NY. This 138,000 SF, 454-bed residence hall<br />
gives new meaning to critical path scheduling, as it was built in 14<br />
months.<br />
6) LeChase <strong>Construction</strong> Services – Golub Corporation<br />
H.Q.<br />
Golub Corporation, the owner of Price Chopper Grocery Stores set<br />
out to build a new headquarters to house all of their administrative<br />
staff. Golub turned to LeChase <strong>Construction</strong> for a $34 million,<br />
240,000 SF facility that houses test kitchens, cafeteria, auditorium<br />
and state-of-the-art fitness center all in a LEED Gold Certified<br />
Building.<br />
