FW’s children tours are designed to be both informative and fun. They
can be taken by adults and children or by children by themselves.
Toys, Ghosts and House Signs
Duration: 4 hours
The tour is a walking tour around the
historical centre of Prague focussing on the
more colourful and fun aspects. Prague is
one of the few cities in the world to preserve
its beautiful house signs from the days
before house numbering. House signs such
as the Two Suns, the Blue Lobster and the
Three Violins can still be found as pictures
across the older parts of the city. The tour
will include a house-sign hunt in which
children be given a notepad and be asked
to spot the house signs.
During the tour we will visit the Toy
Museum, near Prague Castle. This is the
second largest exhibition of toys in the
world, with a selection of toys from ancient
Greece to the present. Of particular interest
is the large Barbie doll exhibition. We will also visit the spooky ghost museum, where you enter a lifelike city of ghosts,
which brings alive the many ghost legends of the city.
1869 in the working class suburb of Smichov, close to the river. We will have a guided tour of the working brewery,
which will be followed by a tasting session.
