MEDIA INFORMATION<br />
The Manhattan College women’s basketball media guide is intended to enhance<br />
your coverage during the 2010-2011 season. This guide will answer most questions<br />
concerning the Lady Jaspers basketball program. A comprehensive history section,<br />
along with current information is available in this publication. If you need additional<br />
information contact <strong>Assistant</strong> Sports Information Director Joe Clifford at 718-862-<br />
7709 or by email at joseph.clifford@manhattan.edu.<br />
WORKING CREDENTIALS<br />
Requests for working credentials should be made no later than two days prior to the<br />
game. The assistant athletic director for communications & marketing reserves the<br />
right to deny requests made past that time. Passes may be mailed if the request is<br />
received early enough.<br />
Press row is located on the sideline opposite the team benches. Working media<br />
are asked not to sit at the scorer’s table unless designated to do so by the assistant<br />
athletic director for communications & marketing.<br />
Photographers are asked to remain along the baseline and must display their<br />
credentials. Photographers not displaying credentials will be asked to leave the<br />
court area.<br />
Preference will be given to working press and photographers covering the game.<br />
Media representatives are asked to display their credentials at all times.<br />
INTERVIEW POLICY<br />
All discussion with Coach Olenowski and student-athletes should be channeled<br />
through the athletic communications office at (718) 862-7709. Rohrssen and players<br />
will be available weekly on Monday upon request 48 hours in advance. Media<br />
interviews will be held in the Manhattan College Athletic Communication Office<br />
Room 508 in Draddy Gymnasium. Players and <strong>coach</strong>es will also be available upon<br />
request before and after scheduled practice times. Interviews will not be given the<br />
day of the game until after the game. Interviews with student-athletes will not be<br />
scheduled during study hall or class time.<br />
PRACTICE POLICY<br />
Practice is closed to the media. Players and <strong>coach</strong>es will be available upon request<br />
30 minutes prior to the scheduled practice time and 30 minutes at the conclusion of<br />
practice, barring conflicts with the student-athlete’s class and study hall schedule.<br />
Video and still photography is prohibited during practice.<br />
RADIO LINES<br />
Phone lines for radio broadcasts are available upon advanced request. Please<br />
contact the athletic communication office at(718) 862-7709 at least 48 hours prior to<br />
the game to request phone lines, a working credential and seat at press row.<br />

Media covering the visiting team should pass credential requests along to the<br />
visiting institution’s director of sports information who will then forward all credential<br />
requests to the Manhattan College Athletic Communication Office.<br />
GAME SERVICES<br />
Game notes, statistics and a game program will be provided to the working media<br />
prior to each contest. Box scores and a detailed play-by-play will be available at<br />
halftime and 15 minutes after the game.<br />
TELEPHONES, INTERNET AND FAX MACHINE<br />
The media work room will be equipped with outside telephone lines, wireless<br />
internet and electrical outlets. One fax machine will also be available for use after<br />
the game. Please forward all post game technical requests to the assistant athletic<br />
director for communications & marketing prior to the game.<br />
