Policy Statements
The Clancy
Group Plc has
published a
revision to its
Group Policy
Statements.
The three Statements are:
Health Safety and Environment
Customers and Quality
People.
In a joint statement, Group Human
Resources Manager, Thierry Euvrard,
Group Governance and Compliance
Manager, Ian Housley and Group Health,
Safety and Environment Manager, Martin
Cross, said, “These revisions to our Policy Statements
strengthen and reiterate our commitment to
ensuring that all our activities are conducted in a
safe, sustainable and corporately responsible way.”
Southern Water Race Day
The real winners of Southern Water’s sixth charity
race day have received their prizes. The
fundraising event, at Fontwell Park Racecourse
near Arundel on October 6, brought in £35,000 for
seven charities. They are: WaterAid, Asthma Allergy
and Inflammation Research (AAIR), Cancer
Research UK, the RNLI, St Barnabas House Hospice,
the Air Ambulance Trust and Help for Heroes.
Representatives from the charities returned to
Fontwell Park to receive their cheques. Sloane
Vaughan, Community Fundraising Manager for
St Barnabas House, thanked Southern Water for
the £5,000 donation. She said: “It was a great day
and very well supported. Your staff were
fantastic and the cheque presentation day was
enjoyable too.”
Above and Beyond the Call of Duty
Providing an excellent service for our customer's customers is
one of our primary responsibilities, and we're hopeful that the
residents of Mill Vale Meadows, a small privately owned close
in Milland Village in West Sussex, will agree that we have
achieved this aim.
As a private road, it is the residents' responsibility to manage
and maintain the road surface, so when they discovered that
Clancy Docwra was going to be carrying out some essential
water main works on behalf of Southern Water, they decided
to hold off on some road repairs they were planning until after
our activities were complete.
As a goodwill gesture, when our project was finished in
October, we made the decision to carry out the work for them
- which involved donating one of our gangs for the day, along
with the necessary equipment and materials, to give residents
the repairs that they had been planning!
