Etwas Sanftes streifte sein Bein. Was war das? Es war<br />
Blossom. Er packte eine Handvoll Pelz des Hundes und<br />
kämpfte sich an die Oberfläche.<br />
<strong>Georgie</strong> war fast bewusstlos vor Kälte und be<strong>für</strong>chtete<br />
das Schlimmste <strong>für</strong> den kleinen Hund. Er hob seinen<br />
Kopf einen Moment über die Oberfläche, aber er war zu<br />
schwach, um selbst hinauszusteigen.<br />
Plötzlich sah er eine Bewegung auf dem Eis: Es war<br />
Spike mit dem Ende eines roten Rettungs-Seils in seiner<br />
Schnauze. <strong>Georgie</strong> packte das Seil und band es um<br />
seine Taille. Dann hob er den kleinen weißen Hund aus<br />
dem Wasser auf die Eisdecke.<br />
Something soft brushed against <strong>Georgie</strong>`s leg. What was<br />
this? It was Blossom! He grasped hold of a handful of the<br />
dog`s fur - and struggled to the surface.<br />
<strong>Georgie</strong> was almost unconscious with cold and feared the<br />
worse for the little dog. He raised his head momentarily<br />
above the surface, but he was too weak to be able to lift<br />
himself out.<br />
Suddenly he saw movement on the ice: it was Spike with the<br />
end of the red rescue rope in his mouth. <strong>Georgie</strong> grasped the<br />
rope and tied it around his waist. He then lifted the little white<br />
dog out of the water and onto the surface of the ice.<br />
