Fairest of them all...
Once again this year’s Wealden Times Midsummer Fair was held at the beautiful
Hole Park in Rolvenden. The largest fair we have ever hosted was a glorious
success, and we were joined by a plethora of exhibitors; some who have been
Owith us from the start and lots of new faces, too. Despite a short and brutal downpour
on Friday, the fair was enjoyed by everyone, the WT teams included! Happy shoppers
flooded in from all over to browse, buy, admire and soak up lots of sunshine. The
avenues and tents were filled with the sounds of footsteps and laughter. Tea was sipped,
delicious food was nibbled and a glass or two of local bubbles was savoured.
This year’s Midsummer Fair was also host to our first Wellbeing Festival. As well
as our fabulous event sponsors Harpers and Hurlingham, we proudly welcomed
Benenden Hospital, who supported the Priceless People Wellbeing Festival, which
opened its doors to gardening experts, yogis, foodies and even a few celebs!
The whole WT team would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who was involved in
the making of another fantastic Midsummer Fair; exhibitors, stewards, crafters, bakers, visitors,
sponsors, photographers, speakers, caterers and everybody else who made this year extra special.
The planning has already begun for the Midwinter Fair 2015, which will be at Bedgebury
Pinetum from 19-21 November. We can’t wait... see you there! www.wealdentimes.co.uk/events
