Save the Date
Legacy Gala, the premier fundraising event for Cathedral Prep and Villa Maria Academy,
will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014. This year’s theme, “Achieving Excellence”
continues the tradition of inviting parents, supporters, and alumni to embrace our mission
of encouraging our young women and men to settle for nothing but excellence. Last year,
an amazing 500 guests attended, and over $325,000 was raised. Legacy Gala 2014 will be
hosted at the spacious Bayfront Convention Center, complete with gourmet food stations
and a wide array of beverages throughout the evening. Fabulous items will be up for bid
in both the silent and live auctions.
Four deserving individuals will be inducted into the President’s Hall of Fame:
Distinguished alumni Jack Bertges ’68 and Matt Minnaugh ’83 will be honored as
representatives of the Prep campus. Distinguished alumnus and administrator Sr. Mary
Drexler ’63 and faculty member Adrianna Hagerty (posthumous) will be honored as
representatives of the Villa campus.
The combined generosity of parents, local businesses, and benefactors in planning the
event, donating items, and sponsoring and attending the event, make Legacy Gala the
