Photography Workshop<br />

Simon Bruntnell will demonstrate specialist techniques for<br />

photographing glass, the equipment needed, cameras,<br />

lenses, lighting, tripods, props, digital shooting and<br />

outputting file types for magazines and the internet, as<br />

well as how to create a digital file and basic retouching<br />

techniques. Aimed at people who want to move up to a<br />

35mm digital SLR type camera and to produce images of<br />

a professional entry level.<br />

A maximum of 10 people per workshop. Each participant<br />

can bring one item of glass (max shoe box dimensions)<br />

which Simon will photograph and supply an image for<br />

your own publicity purposes.<br />

Symposium: Architecture and the Artistry of <strong>Glass</strong><br />

“Architecture and the Artistry of <strong>Glass</strong>” explores the<br />

relationship between glass and architectural forms<br />

whether in terms of building materials or the artist<br />

wedded to architecture.<br />

It brings together international and distinguished artists<br />

and designers: John Lewis, Californian sculptor and<br />

architectural artist; Danny Lane whose furniture and<br />

sculpture ranges from the domestic to the massive; Brent<br />

Richards, award winning architect in the field of glass<br />

technology; Tomasz Urbanowicz, Polish Architectural <strong>Glass</strong><br />

artist; and teacher and practitioner Keith Cummings, who<br />

has pioneered kiln forming over the past 45 years.<br />
