Aleš and Nejc Česen). Mixed routes of extreme grades were climbed<br />
(up to M12+) in Switzerland and Italy (Marko Lukić).<br />
Bad weather has prevented more frequent big face ascents in Western<br />
Alps, nevertheless several high-grade free climbs were performed,<br />
such as Kousmine, Bonatti Pillar and Abysse, by Marko Lukić and<br />
Matjaž Jeran.<br />

Proverbially difficult winter climbs in Julian Alps have become more<br />
popular with younger alpinists, earning valuable experience for future<br />
use in Patagonia and the Himalyas. Several first winter ascents were<br />
done in Loška stena while some parties committed themselves to<br />
repeat big traditional routes.<br />
Throughout the summer, several alpine free ascents were made – Maček<br />
in Križevnik, Metropolis in Triglav, Cupido in Aniča kuk (CRO), etc.<br />
There were new lines added in Prisojnik, Rušica, Debela Peč, etc.<br />
