HERBERT SABAROCHE CANDIDATE FOR THE COLIHAUT CONSTITUENCY Herbert "Sabie" Sabaroche was born in the small village of Bioche. During the past 15 years, he has served as the Parliamentary Representative of the Colihaut Constituency, the Minister for Education, the Minister for Health and Social Security, a local and regional consultant and a community worker. Sabie has a very strong background in the human resource development and community work. He holds a B.A in Education (UWI), and a M.A in Planning and Management (University of London). He has been trained in Project and Programme Development, Management and Evaluation in Germany, Britain and Trinidad and Tobago. He has experience in almost every level of education and training during a career that spans twenty seven years in the Ministry of Education in Dominica and five years as a regional advisor and consultant. Sabie has been actively involved with organizational, institutional and community development and sports all his life. HARIAN HENRY CANDIDATE FOR THE GRAND BAY CONSTITUENCY Mr. Harian “Manchile" Henry will run for the Grand Bay Constituency. Mr. Henry, a mature 60 year old man, has had varied experience from his attending Grand Bay Boys School through his work and life for 23 years in England with occasional visits back to his homeland. He returned to permanent residence in 1990. He is an accomplished musician, a student and lecturer of African History. He has been an active community worker in several non-government organisations both in England and back in his homeland including the recently formed Grand Bay Peace Committee to combat the upsurge in crime and violence in his community. 6
FELITA PAUL THOMAS CANDIDATE FOR THE SOUFRIERE CONSTITUENCY Felita Paul Thomas, ‘Teacher Felita’ is a model citizen. Settled in Scotts Head, she embraced the culture of her area and committed her entire life to community service. A Freedomite all her life, she pushed for the fishermen’s lockers in Scotts Head. Felita, as chairperson of the Soufriere Scotts Head Gallion Village Council was instrumental in the introduction of Korne-Korn-La (Fish night) in the communities of Soufriere and Scotts Head. .Felita now presents herself for leadership at the highest level OLIVER ST JOHN CANDIDATE FOR THE ROSEAU SOUTH CONSTITUENCY Oliver St John was born August 30, 1958 in Roseau . Oliver is a true patriot, a man of integrity, honesty and dedication to family and community. A leader and role model for the youth. His career includes extensive training in management and operations of diverse activities such as public works to solid waste management. Yet he finds time for community service, charity work and support for sports for the youth NETTISHA WALSH CANDIDATE FOR THE SALISBURY CONSTITUENCY Ms Nettisha Walsh a fresh young female face will be running for Salisbury. Ms Walsh is 21 years old, attended St Martin Secondary School and plans to further her education. An outgoing young woman, she is deeply involved in sports, church groups and community work in Salisbury. Nettisha is motivated to bring change for the youth and to provide better services in health, education, job opportunities for young women and to bring new investment to Salisbury 7
