Boating Message Don Urrizaga It’s hard to believe, but the season is waning. The Beginner’s Trip, the Pre-season Main, the Yampa Service Trip, and the Payette are all behind us. Everyone gear up for the Pink Flamingo Party at Roger’s house on the 29 th of August (see page 9). old timers' new comers' party!!! When: August 22 nd Where: WMC Lodge @ Brighton Resort (See page 6 for directions to the lodge or just show up to carpool or follow someone up.) Time: 6pm (carpool from BCC Park-&-Ride @ 5:15) Bring: Dish to share and your own beverage (optional item to grill) Contribution: A day at the Lodge Work Party OR $3/member $5/non-member Also, WMC members can spend the night at the lodge Friday or Saturday night if you help out Saturday morning at 9am!!! Whether you’re new to the club or have been in for a long time, come enjoy a relaxing evening at the lodge. If you’ve never seen the lodge (and many of you haven’t), at least take a drive up the canyon and say hello. It’s a great time to slow down, breathe some fresh air, meet people who share common interests, enjoy some laughter, and get away from the hub-bub of city life (not to mention the kids)! 5
