Le sketch qui a suivi a présenté le
cas d’un enfant qui a perdu l’appétit
et avait de la fièvre. Les parents
n’ont pas pris au sérieux ces
symptômes de la malaria et quelques
jours plus tard l’enfant est
décédé.
Les intermèdes lors de la célébration
ont été assurés par les groupes
folkloriques du milieu.
Après la clôture de la partie officielle,
le pique-nique et les réjouissances
populaires ont suivi. La
musique, les danses et la joie
générale ont démontré le bien-fondé
de telles célébrations.

Celebration of
the World Day against Malaria
On 25 April 2015, the world celebrated the World Day against
Malaria. The theme was "Invest in the future, defeat malaria."
Togo is particularly involved in organizing the celebrations of
this day because currently OCDI/Caritas Togo is actively
engaged in the fight against malaria in the seven dioceses. The
programme is financed by Secours Catholique Caritas France,
Caritas France Foundation and the Switzerland Philanthropic
Foundation.
In the Diocese of Sokode, the diocesan celebration was organized
for the second time by the diocesan Health Coordination
and the diocesan OCDI in the village of Sada. The choice of
this village was motivated by a concern for the monitoring/support
of vulnerable people of this area on the banks of
a river to measure and deepen the impact of the awareness
campaign that had been earlier organized.
The celebration was held Sunday 23 August 2015; it brought
together the inhabitants of the village of Sada and surrounding
villages with their leaders and notables; also present were
delegations from other health centres of the Diocese.
After Sunday Mass (celebrated in the village chapel for
Christians), all gathered in front of the health centre. After the
words of welcome and customary speeches, participants
followed a information / training on malaria presented by the
diocesan health coordinator, Ms. Marie-Thérèse Poyodé. In
her speech she advocated some behaviours that effectively
reduce the risk of malaria. Among other things, she talked
about the use of impregnated mosquito nets, the immediate
reaction in case of fever (going to the health centre instead of
buying dubious medicines at the market), sanitation of
surrounding houses. The sketch that followed presented the
case of a child who had lost his appetite and had a fever. The
parents did not take seriously these symptoms of malaria and
a days later, the child died.
Interludes at the celebration were provided by local folk
groups.

Comemoração do
Dia Mundial contra a Malária
Em 25 de abril de 2015, o mundo comemorou o Dia Mundial
contra a Malária. O tema foi "Investir no futuro, derrotar a malária."
Togo está particularmente envolvida na organização das
celebrações deste dia, porque atualmente OCDI / Caritas Togo
está ativamente engajada na luta contra a malária nas sete
dioceses. O programa é financiado pelo Secours Catholique
Caritas France, France Caritas Foundation e da Fundação
Filantrópica Suíça.
Na Diocese de Sokode, a celebração diocesana foi organizado
pela segunda vez pelo diocesano Saúde Coordenação eo OCDI
diocesano, na aldeia de Sada. A escolha desta vila foi motivada

cristãos), todos se reuniram em frente ao centro de saúde. Após
as palavras de boas-vindas e discursos habituais, os participantes
seguiram uma informação / formação sobre a malária
apresentado pelo coordenador diocesano da saúde, a Sra Marie-
Thérèse Poyodé. Em seu discurso, ela defendeu alguns
comportamentos que efetivamente reduzem o risco de malária.
Entre outras coisas, ela falou sobre o uso de mosquiteiros
impregnados, a reação imediata em caso de febre (indo para o
centro de saúde em vez de comprar medicamentos duvidosos no
mercado), o saneamento de casas vizinhas. O esboço que se
seguiu apresentou o caso de uma criança que tinha perdido o
apetite e teve febre. Os pais não levar a sério estes sintomas de
malária e de um dias depois, a criança morreu.
Interlúdios na celebração foram fornecidos por grupos
folclóricos locais.
