BASKETBALL Sam Mackinnon 17 SEPTEMBER 2015 THE LOCKER ROOM With more than 250 students participating in Terrace Basketball this season I’d like thank everyone involved in making it an enjoyable and successful year. Special mention must go to parents dropping off at 6am, coaches balancing work and university, volunteers for helping out where needed and players for their commitment to improve and put their best foot forward in representing Terrace. The 1st V must be congratulated for finishing 3rd, best result for a number of years. This would not have been possible without Mr Matthew Hamilton-Smith’s dedication to development of our young men on and off the court. Mr Andrew Latimer’s impact on the group has been tremendous but 2015 sees Andrew departing Gregory Terrace for a new work opportunity in New South Wales. We wish him all the best for his new venture. To celebrate our season a dinner was introduced and the response was amazing with 285 students and parents attending the event last Saturday night. This was truly a fantastic night and part of Terrace Basketball moving forward. We enjoyed looking back at the season and handing out awards to our deserving players. This may not sound great but it’s something I am proud of and believe 2016 will see more wins across the program. Looking forward to next year, please see results and award recipients right.
