Richard J. DeLuca
On April
25, the
Chamber
lost a true
friend and
long time
member,
Rich
DeLuca.
Rich will be remembered for his
devotion to his family and friends,
his unwavering support for the North
Jersey Regional Chamber of
Commerce and his kindness and
generosity to all.
Thirty years ago, Rich became a
member of our Chamber and quickly
got involved. Over the years he
participated on numerous committees
and served as chairman of several,
most notably the Sports Dinner
Committee and the Golf Invitational
Committee. He was also active on the
Clifton Economic Development
Commission and served on the
NJRCC Foundation Board.
In time, Rich took on a leadership
role within the organization, first
joining the Board of Directors and
then the Executive Committee. In
2007, he was elected to serve as
Chairman of the Board for a two-year
term, successfully leading the
organization through a period of
change and growth.
Rich frequently commented that while
he appreciated the business he
developed through the Chamber, he
was most thankful for the many
friends he found here.
Rich will be missed by all who had
the privilege of knowing and working
with him. He was a team player,
low key but always in charge. His
business acumen combined with a dry
sense of humor set a high standard
for every meeting in which he
participated. We extend our
condolences to his wife Cathy, his
sons John and Tony, step-daughter
Daria and her husband Rob, step-son
Franco, grandson Michael and his
colleagues at Hanson & Ryan, Inc.,
where he served as Vice President.
The Skylands Manor
The Skylands Manor has become New Jersey’s premier
destination wedding site. Nestled among 100 acres of
manicured grounds that are the New Jersey Botanical
Gardens, Skylands offers romance and glamour for
weddings that are reminiscent of those found in fairy
tales.
Overnight accommodations are anything but ordinary when you
and your guest choose to stay in the 24 bedrooms atop the
Manor. Breakfast or brunch will be served in your private granite
breakfast room.
Imagine your ceremony in your own private chapel by the lake or
along a tree-lined orchard. Your cocktail party will begin in the
Manor house within rooms adorned with woodwork and marble,
hundreds of years old.
The ballroom reflects warmth with an old-world style of elegance
that is prevalent throughout the mansion. A favorite of Skylands
brides is the private bridal suite that they enjoy for the day.
Photographers usually begin there and then spend the remainder
of the day taking photos of the bride and her guests at the
numerous “photo opportunity” sites throughout the castle and its
grounds.
This once in a lifetime moment
should be spent where you have
always dreamed of having it…at a
castle just for you, your fiancé and
your guests!
The gourmet cuisine and professional
service at Skylands is hospitably
offered by Frungillo Caterers. The
Frungillo family has been catering to
brides for three generations.
Skylands’ entire staff is at your
disposal for the day. The butcher, the
baker and the candlestick maker will all be on hand to make sure
that your day runs as per your plans. Oh yes, and of course, your
private bridal assistant will be there for you as well.
