On April
25, the
Chamber
lost a true
friend and
long time
member,
Rich
DeLuca.
Rich will be remembered for his
devotion to his family and friends,
his unwavering support for the North
Jersey Regional Chamber of
Commerce and his kindness and
generosity to all.
Thirty years ago, Rich became a
member of our Chamber and quickly
got involved. Over the years he
participated on numerous committees
and served as chairman of several,
most notably the Sports Dinner
Committee and the Golf Invitational
Committee. He was also active on the
Clifton Economic Development
Commission and served on the
NJRCC Foundation Board.
In time, Rich took on a leadership
role within the organization, first
joining the Board of Directors and
then the Executive Committee. In
2007, he was elected to serve as
Chairman of the Board for a two-year
term, successfully leading the
organization through a period of
change and growth.
Rich frequently commented that while
he appreciated the business he
developed through the Chamber, he
was most thankful for the many
friends he found here.
Rich will be missed by all who had
the privilege of knowing and working
with him. He was a team player,
low key but always in charge. His
business acumen combined with a dry
sense of humor set a high standard
for every meeting in which he
participated. We extend our
condolences to his wife Cathy, his
sons John and Tony, step-daughter
Daria and her husband Rob, step-son
Franco, grandson Michael and his
colleagues at Hanson & Ryan, Inc.,
where he served as Vice President.

The Skylands Manor
