ROSIE System 3
ROSIE System 3 is part of the
Savant family of modular and scalable
systems with three configurable
card slots. ROSIE System 3 provides
the following key features:
• Multiroom audio distribution
• Surround sound processing
• Video processing and scaling
• ROSIE OSD
• ROSIE Touch Panel and
Keypad control distribution
• Integrated Controller
ROSIE System 3 offers an extensive
selection of multiroom audio distribution
and home theater solutions, providing
additional functionality, expandability
and connectivity of Savant platforms.
Secondly, with the same number of
control ports as ROSIE System 2,
ROSIE System 3 allows you to readily
add touch panels, keypads, security
systems, climate and lighting control
services at any time.
The numerous module options and
configurations include the choice of balanced
or unbalanced multiroom stereo
preamp outputs, and up to two zones
of surround sound (see Cross Reference
Matrix, p. 10). Several key installation
bundles are currently offered with the
following Savant model numbers: RAD-
1000, -1100, -2000, -3000, -3100, -4000,
and RAD-5300 (see p. 20). ROSIE
System 3 8 x 8 and 8 x 16 multiroom
stereo preamp options are respectively
represented by the RAD-1000 and RAD-
1100 models and are presented in this
catalog (see Figure 1 and 4).
ROSIE System 3 requires an external
host to configure and create a complete
system (see p. 4-5).

8 x 8 Multiroom Audio Distribution Processor
The RAD-3100 is a multifunctional solution
providing an all-in-one 8 x 8 audio
distribution system that can accept up
to eight different music sources, and an
integrated control processor, providing a
blend of the most popular and common
control formats (see Figure 2). In addition,
it includes an integrated 8-port
keypad and touch panel interconnect
and distribution system, which transmits/extends
2-way control signals via
UTP (CAT5/5e/6) cable to eight separate
ROSIE multizone audio keypads
(and/or touch panels) up to 300 feet.
The RAD-3100 is the perfect multiroom
audio solution for installations requiring
a mixture of ROSIE Keypads and
Touch Panels for audio source selection,
navigation and control.
The RAD-3100 configuration has 16 RCA
jack connections grouped in stereo
pairs for passing analog line-level audio
signals to an external third party multichannel
amplifier to drive speakers.
The eight speaker zones can play audio
from any of the independent eight audio
sources simultaneously (see Figure 2).
Moreover, it can accept and distribute
an additional eight audio streams from
Savant’s ROSIE iTunes® Media Server
through the rear panel FireWire port,
which is like having eight separate
CD changers—each one capable of
independently playing any song from
your entire music collection instantly
to any room.
For discerning audiophiles, the ROSIE
System 3 provides balanced 8 x 8 solutions
with the RAD-5300 and RAD-5400
models, which are available with eight
balanced stereo preamp outputs (see
Figure 5).
