Pursuant to the Credit Agreement dated as of December 21, 2012 (as it may be
amended, amended and restated, supplemented or otherwise modified from time to time, the
“Credit Agreement”), the undersigned officer of NewPage Corporation (the “Borrower”)
certifies that the information provided in this certificate to JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., as
Administrative Agent and a Co-Collateral Agent and Wells Fargo Capital Finance, LLC, as a
Co-Collateral Agent, is true, correct and complete, and is based on information contained in
Borrower’s own financial accounting records, other than with respect to any calculation of
Reserves (which calculation shall be provided by Administrative Agent). The Borrower, by the
execution of this certificate, hereby ratifies, confirms and affirms all of the terms, conditions
and provisions of the Credit Agreement, and certifies on this ___ day of _______, 20__, that no
Default or Event of Default has occurred and is continuing.
