the time, his wife and children had already gone ahead of him.<br />
Sarillo was later found dead. he had suffered a gunshot to his<br />
head and was barely recognizable.<br />
At the time also, Sarillo’s father-in-law, Benjamin gelongga<br />
and the latter’s nephew, Bobby Quilo, were found dead inside the<br />
house in which they were staying. The victims were killed allegedly<br />
by the soldiers who were conducting operations. Benjamin and<br />
Bobby’s bodies bore gunshot and stab wounds when they were<br />
recovered.<br />
The soldiers took the victims’ bodies to the municipality of<br />
Isabela where they presented them to the media as casualties of<br />
the encounter. Lt. Col. Jess Manangquil, the commanding officer<br />
of the 11th IB-PA, claimed the victims were members of a rebel<br />
group killed during the encounter with the soldiers. It was only<br />
on may 6 when Sarillo’s wife learned about her husband’s death,<br />
and that of her father and a relative.<br />
At the time of their death, the three victims were members<br />
of the Barangay Inulingan Farmers Association, a local peasant<br />
organization affiliated with the KMP.<br />

Victim: Lourdes Rubrico (a.k.a. Nay Ude), 62, of resident of<br />
Barangay San Nicolas 2, Dasmariñas Bagong Bayan (DBB),<br />
Cavite. She was the chairperson of Ugnayan ng mga Maralita<br />
sa Gawa at Adhika (Umaga) Federation (Association of the Poor<br />
in Action and Aspiration); village coordinator for Bayan Muna,<br />
Board of Trustee of the Cavite Ecumenical Movement for Justice<br />
and Peace (CEMJP) and chairperson of Umaga<br />
Alleged perpetrators:<br />
1. Major Darwin Sy (a.k.a. Darwin Reyes). He is stationed at the<br />
headquarters of the AFP in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.<br />
2. Captain Angelo Cuaresma<br />
3. Ruben Alfaro<br />
4. Jimmy Santana<br />
5. A certain Jonathan and several unidentified men<br />
All of the four are stationed in 301st Air Intelligence and Security<br />
Squadron, Philippine Air Force (PAF) Field Station, Fernando<br />
Air Base<br />
Date of incident: 3 to 10 April 2007 at 3pm<br />
Place where she was abducted: Megahouse, Sta. Cruz 1, DBB-E,<br />
Dasmariñas, Cavite<br />
Place where she was illegally detained: at the headquarters of<br />
301st Air Intelligence and Security Squadron, PAF Field Station,<br />
