Indication : This interlocking nail system is the result of long term<br />
experience in medullary nailing. This nail can be used for the following<br />
fractures;<br />
Femoral shaft fractures.<br />
Subtrochanteric fractures<br />
Impending pathologic fractures<br />
Ipsilateral femoral neck / shaft fractures<br />
For femoral shaft fractures or stable subtrochanteric fractures, 135º<br />
antegrade fixation for the left-side / right-side femur. Locking bolts<br />
screw diameter is proximaly and distaly the same.In pertrochanteric<br />
(femoral neck) fractures as well as subtrochanteric fractures, this<br />
femoral nail system (nails for the left and right femur with 8º anteversion<br />
integrated in proximal nail drill holes) offer a secure fixation. This nail<br />
system can also be applied in the case of dangerous pathologic<br />
fractures. Fixation is achieved with lag screws placed into femoral<br />
neck in retrograde direction, as a result rotation is avoided.<br />

Indication : Used for closed intramedullary nailing of fractures and osteotomies of femur,<br />
radius and ulna, as well as for distally located fractures of the humerus with image itensification.<br />
Nails curved on a constant radius (slot on outside of curve). Conformes to the anterior bow<br />
of the femur. Nails for closed nailing will be delivered sloted and tapered at one end.<br />
Nail details : Küntscher medullary nails are produced with a cloverleaf profile to achieve axial<br />
and longitudinal elasticity. The cloverleaf designed combines high tensile strength with<br />
compressibility to minimize the danger of splitting the femur, when the nail is being driven. In<br />
adittion, this feature allows the nail to expand to fit the wider portions of the medullary canal.<br />

long bones. The Rush intramedullary pin<br />
achieves the stabilisation of fractures through<br />

presure accuratelly transfix the fractured<br />
bone. The sled runner point enables the<br />
surgeon to insert from the side of the bone<br />
