Section of compression plates
on femur and humerus
Broad Plate MC-DCP 4.5 mm
Breitplatte MC-DCP 4.5 mm
Plaque large MC-DCP 4.5 mm
Indication : Used for pseudarthrosis of the humerus and as a tension
band plate for femoral fractures. Not for use on the tibia. The MC-
DCP holes allow compression in both directions of the longitudinal
axis.
MC-DCP: Minimal contact dynamic compression plate.
Plate details : Use broad plates with 6 or 7 holes in exceptional
cases only on humerus.
Plate thickness : 5.0 mm
Plate width : 17.5 mm
Hole spacing : 18.0 mm
Screws to be used : All holes accept diam. 4.5 mm cortical screws.
The end hole can be used for diam. 6.5 mm cancellous screws. Under
undercuts for vascular preservation.
between bone and plate in the direction of the fracture site, so
compressing the fracture. Compression can also be achieved using
relative movement between bone and plate in the direction of the
fracture site, so compression can also achieved using the tension
Spoon Plate 4.5 mm
Löffelplatte 4.5 mm
Plaque-cuillère 4.5 mm
Indication : The spoon plate is a buttress plate designed to sit on
the anterior crest of the tibia. It is primarly indicated for pilon fractures
that have extensive anterior crushing but good posture support. It is
also used in the treatment of metaphyseal non-unions of distal tibia
and the distal humerus. It should be bent pre-operative to accurately
match the contours of the segment of bone to be fixed. An oval hole
allows for temporary fixation of the plate prior to final adjustment and
fixation.
Plate details : Plate is contoured during manufacture to
approximate the eventual fracture site, allowing fine adjustment to
be made in theatre. Shaft with V-profile for the fixation on frontal edge
of tibia.
Indication : The T plate is primarly used as a
used in the distal tibia, medial distal femur and A3
fractures of proximal humerus. It is relatively thin and
consequently not as strong as standard self compressing
of thin metaphyseal cortical bone or to prevent the collapsing
of any cancellous defects in that area. It should be bent preoperative
to accurately match the counters of the segment of bone
to be fixed. An oval hole allows for temporary fixation of the plate
Cloverleaf Plate 3.5 mm
Kleeblattplatte 3.5 mm
Plaque en trèfle 3.5 mm
Indication : The cloverleaf plate is a buttress
plate designed to sit on the medial aspect of the distal
tibia. It is thin and can be easily cut. The plate has a frontal
wing which allows fixation to the medial malleous. The plate can
also be modified by having this frontal wing cut of which allows it use
on the anterior plane of distal tibia. It should be bend pre-operatively
to accurately match the contours of the segment of the bone to be
fixed. And oval hole allows for temporary fixation of the plate prior to
final adjustment and fixation.
Plate details : Plate is contoured during manufacture to
approximate the eventual fracture site, allowing fine adjustment to
be made in theatre.
Dorso - lumbar Wirbelsäulenplatte 4.5 mm
Plaque pour dorso-lombaires 4.5 mm
Indication : The desing of the posterior plates comes from spine
anatomy. The average distance between two adjacent pedicles is 26
mm. The plates are created with holes every 13 mm. It is therefore
possible to fix two adjacent vertebrae with a pedicular screw every
two holes. The plates are curved similar to the normal spine at
thoracolumbar juction, which is the most common site of fracture.
The holes are reinforced by an embossment giving to the plates and
homogeneous resistance. They are produced from stainless steel.
These plates can be bend if necessary. Different lenghts, ranging
from 49 mm to 218 mm with 4 to 17 holes have been designed.
Plate details : Plate profile 7.2 x 10.0 mm
Distale Tibia Platte 4.5 mm
Plaque pour tibia distal 4.5 mm
Indication : Anatomical distal tibia bone plates are designed to be
used for reducing fractures of the distal tibia. It is designed to sit on
the distal aspect of the tibia The anatomical bone plate features show
the following important factors to osteosynthesis as; permit a stable
fixation of the small proximal and distal fragments. They consider the
various physiological stability factors of distal spongiosa and metato
diaphyseal fractures. They are curved and twisted to conform to
the nature shape of the proximal and distal bones areas. They simplify
reduction in case of extended fractures as their anterior surface is
contoured to minimize tissue irritation.
Plate details : To conform to the ventro-tibial contours of the
distal tibia, the plate is twisted and curved an has a concav surface
on its bone side and broadened distal end. The pre-form shape of
the plate requires that a separate plate to be used for right and left
tibia.
Plate width : 17.0 mm
Head width : 24.5 mm
Hole spacing : 18.0 mm
Screws to be used : Head of plate accept 6.5 mm cancellous screws.
Plate shaft accepts 4.5 mm cortical screws. The screw holes into
distal and are placed so as to allow cancellous screw to be placed
are for temporary fixation with kirschner wires. An oval hole in the
