CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GLOBAL BUSINESS COMMITTEE
GLVAR’s Global Business Committee received national
recognition when it was named a Gold Council by the
National Association of REALTORS ® at their Annual
Convention in November. This distinction was part of
NAR’s Global Business Council Achievement Program. Over
100 councils applied but only 10 were honored as a Gold
Council while only four achieved Platinum Council status.
This is a stellar achievement since the Global Business
Committee was only recently formed at the beginning of
2012. The Global committee put a lot of hard work and
time to earn this level. The Members of the committee
expect to reach Platinum level in 2013. Congratulations to
the Global Business Committee for their outstanding efforts
and representing GLVAR at the national level! n

Congratulations are in order for Linda
Rheinberger, Broker/Owner of One
Source Realty and Management
located in Las Vegas. At the NAR
Annual Conference and Expo held
in Orlando last month, she was
interviewed as a candidate and
nominated as the Regional Vice
President-Elect Nominee for Region
XI. When confirmed by NAR, she will

serve as Region XI Vice President in 2015 representing the
six states in the Rocky Mountain Region. This will include
serving on the Board of Directors at the national level
with a seat on the Executive Committee of the National
Association of REALTORS ® . Ms. Rheinberger has been
serving members of Nevada for numerous years. She was
elected 2006 GLVAR President and 2010 NVAR President.
She will represent Members of the six states from Arizona,
Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.

Another round of congratulations is in
order for Melissa Zimbelman, Broker/
Owner of LUXE International Realty
located in Las Vegas. She is an active
volunteer with both GLVAR and the
Women’s Council of REALTORS ®
Las Vegas Chapter. During the NAR
Annual Conference she was elected
MELISSA to the National Women’s Council of
ZIMBELMAN
REALTORS ® Executive Board as the
2013 Financial Secretary. Congratulations, Melissa! n
CSN NAMES CLASSROOM AFTER GLVAR
On October 20th the College of Southern Nevada (CSN)
honored GLVAR and its Members by naming a classroom
the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS ® classroom.
CSN unveiled the official naming in a dedication ceremony
during a live class at the West Charleston Campus where
2012 President Kolleen Kelley and GLVAR CEO Nelson Janes
answered questions and shared anecdotal information about
the REALTOR ® profession and real estate industry.
GLVAR received this honor for its commitment over the
years to provide substantial resources to fund scholarship
endowments and student enrichment programs at CSN. This
is the first time CSN has ever dedicated a room in the name
of a business entity. n
