• STATS PROFESSIONAL which enables Members to track<br />
area statistics with charts and graphs<br />
• RATEPLUG is an optional application that provides<br />
reports for Members that includes lender-supplied<br />
information for their listings<br />
• RETS IQ application which will provide a higher level of<br />
security for IDX feeds<br />
• FANNIE MAE SHORT SALE ASSISTANCE DESK (SSAD) In 2012<br />
GLVAR’s MLS introduced the SSAD to help Members<br />
and their clients better manage their Short Sale<br />
transactions.<br />
NEW COMMITTEES TO MEET NEEDS OF FORWARD THINKING MEMBERS<br />
Budgeted for 2013 are the Global Business Committee, the<br />
Green Committee, and the Market Conditions Committee.<br />
GLVAR is committed to being responsive to the needs of<br />
Members by updating programs and services to meet the<br />
ever-changing environment in which you practice.<br />
PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT GLVAR has secured a top notch,<br />
professional staff to ensure that programs, products and<br />
services are delivered in the most cost-effective manner<br />
while maintaining a leadership role among REALTOR ®<br />
organizations and keeping our REALTOR ® Members in the<br />
forefront.<br />
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS GLVAR’s Professional Standards<br />
staff coordinates arbitration, ethics and mediation dispute<br />
resolution. The staff is looking forward to celebrating the<br />
2013 Centennial Celebration of the Code of Ethics. Watch<br />
for more information and historical tidbits throughout the<br />
year at GLVAR.<br />
REALTOR.COM Recognizing that an increasing number of<br />
homebuyers use the internet to search for homes, GLVAR<br />
continues to make a commitment to “Showcase” our<br />
Members’ listings in REALTOR.com. This enhancement,<br />
which would cost an individual Member hundreds to<br />
thousands of dollars annually, give them the ability to<br />
feature their listings as never before and directs prospective<br />
buyers directly to them. The showcase service allows<br />
Members to upload up to 35 photos with 80 character<br />
captions, headlines, scrolling text, and display listing<br />
videos. All GLVAR Members have complimentary access to<br />
this marketing tool that clients appreciate.<br />
REAL STORE Located in the lobby of the GLVAR building, the<br />
REAL Store offers a wide variety of specialty merchandise<br />
including sign riders, open house signs and banners, a stock<br />
of closing gifts, REALTOR ® branded t-shirts, jewelry and real<br />
estate-related books. An improved online version of the<br />
REAL Store will be launched by the end of the first quarter of<br />
2013. Members will be able to browse an online catalog of<br />
supplies and place orders at their convenience any time of<br />
day. All online orders include next day local delivery.<br />
SCHOLARSHIPS Reinstated in 2012, a variety of scholarships<br />
are available to assist REALTORS ® in obtaining professional<br />
designations. College scholarships are also available for<br />
REALTORS ® or members of their families pursuing higher<br />
education degrees.<br />
SUPRA LOCKBOX SYSTEM Display boxes and keys to assist<br />
with listing management<br />
YPN (YOUNG PROFESSIONALS NETWORK) Added in 2011,<br />
GLVAR has a local chapter of NAR’s “Under 40” Member<br />
group. A budget has been provided for 2013 to grow the<br />
Membership and participation.<br />
ZIPFORM GLVAR uses ZipForms to provide Members with<br />
online forms from listing contracts to duties owed. The<br />
service also includes training and support. Utilizing the<br />
most current technology at the best value, GLVAR has<br />
incorporated ZipLogix’s Digital Ink product with unlimited<br />
usage for all Members. This product incorporates digital<br />
signatures with actual ZipForm documents.<br />
The 2013 Annual Budget also includes the following.<br />
• Funds have been allocated for capital expenditures<br />
to replace some computers and upgrade audio visual<br />
equipment.<br />
• Late in 2012, the Association added Cyber Liability<br />
Coverage to better protect the Association and its<br />
Members in the event of a data breach.<br />
• The budget for Staff Training has been increased for<br />
2013 to train our staff through an internet-based<br />
training that will cover federally mandated training on<br />
discrimination and harassment, OSHA, safety, as well<br />
as specific topics such as customer service.<br />
