Summary
The temperatures and rainfall intensity significant influence on the intensity
appearance of Apiognomonia veneta (Sacc. & Speg.) Höhn., the plane trees
pathogen.
In Spring, during 1985. the disease degree was very strong causing leaves
and shoots blight and twigs and branches dieback. Because at the end of April and
the begining of May the temperatures were relatively low followed by the cool
weather and/or high humidity (Graph. 1, Table 1).
On the contrary, during 1986., when the environmental conditions in Spring
were opposite with warm and dry weather in this period, the disease was practicaly
absent (Graph 1).
Therefore, on the basis of the temperatures and humidity degree in Spring it
could be forcast the disease appearance what is of practical importance for control
measures for recommendation or not of plane trees treatments by adequateous
fungicides.
Key words: plane trees, Platanus acerifolia, Apiognomonia veneta, infection,
