Notes from Caroline at the Hall
WANTED- Bridge players!! Looking for Bridge players!!
We want to start a bridge club...but we need players.
Looking to run on Tuesday’s from 12-3pm. All welcome!
Paint the Box- CONTEST! We have gained permission
to paint our exceptionally ugly green box in front of
the hall. We would like your input as to what should be
painted on this box. We have some suggestions- a rubik
cube or a mountain scene. We welcome your creative
ideas today. Painting will be done by Parkland artists in
the spring!! All participants will be entered into a draw
for a Gift Certificate to a local Restaurant! Thank you!
We are looking for feedback on starting an Al Anon
group and a Grief Support group in the New Year

presentations. All grades will receive core programming
that gives them three key messages:
* Children have a right to say no to any touches to their
body that makes them feel sad, scared or worried;
* If a child experiences sexual abuse it could never ever
be their fault; and,
* The very most important thing to do if a child experiences
sexual abuse is to tell an adult they trust.
Grade 6 students got back to nature at Outdoor School
at Kamp Kiwanis in September. And Grade 5 students
had an overnight trip to Waterton.
Geri Lorway helped teachers fine tune their math instructional
skills during the summer and will be teaching
alongside teachers for four days in September,
November, January and April. For more detailed information

The halls of Prince of Wales will be echoing with the
beat of the drums in November when the always-popular
drumming residency comes to the school.
The Grade 1 students will have the opportunity to learn
off site in this year when they each to go the Arts Commons
for a week of Open Minds school.
