Program Description: In Antioch University Los Angeles’<br />
unique low-residency program, students explore the important<br />
role of the writer in society, reading works by diverse and<br />
socially-conscious authors. <strong>The</strong> MFA in <strong>Creative</strong> <strong>Writing</strong> program<br />
is comprised of on-campus residencies—which include classes,<br />
readings, and workshops—complemented by a five-month,<br />
online project period during which students live and write in<br />
their home communities. Antioch University Los Angeles offers<br />
specialized fields of creative writing study in the following<br />
genres: Fiction, <strong>Creative</strong> Nonfiction, Poetry, and <strong>Writing</strong> for<br />
Young People. Our distinguished instruc<strong>to</strong>rs are all actively<br />
published writers who serve as dedicated men<strong>to</strong>rs throughout<br />

Program Description: Arcadia University’s low-residency<br />
M.F.A. program in <strong>Creative</strong> <strong>Writing</strong>, the only one of its kind in<br />
the Philadelphia area, is distinctive in that it incorporates both<br />
a dynamic online environment and a study abroad experience.<br />
<strong>The</strong> course emphasizes online workshops; personal attention<br />
from faculty; studying abroad, with a residency in Edinburgh,<br />
Scotland; and the preparation of both a book-length manuscript<br />
and a plan <strong>to</strong> publish it.<br />
