3. You should not find the process db2syscs.exe because we asked you in step one to<br />

stop the <strong>DB2</strong> instance.<br />

4. Start the <strong>DB2</strong> instance <strong>with</strong> this command: db2start, and repeat the previous step.<br />

Now can you find the db2syscs.exe process?<br />

5. Let's now look at CPU and memory consumption. Follow these steps:<br />

G. Ensure nothing is running in your system by closing all other applications<br />

H. Open a new <strong>DB2</strong> Command Window and issue: db2stop force<br />

I. From the Task Manager, switch to the Performance Tab<br />

J. Keep the Task Manager and the <strong>DB2</strong> Command Window open and side by<br />

side as shown below. Write down the amount of Physical Memory available<br />

and the CPU usage.
