The 2015 Bruce Hasegawa Award for Excellence in Biomedical<br />
Imaging was awarded to Valentina Pedoia, PhD. Pedoia received<br />
her doctoral degree in Computer Science from Insubria University<br />
in Como and Varese, Italy. She is a member of the Muskuloskeletal<br />
Research Interest Group under the mentorship of Dr. Sharmila<br />
Majumdar. This award continues a track record of recognition that<br />
Pedoia has obtained from international societies, and as third-place<br />
finalist for the Surbeck Award. Presenting the Hasegawa Award is<br />
