een done to the truck. It’s truly even more badass
than the photos make it out to be.
When Andrew first got the truck, he stripped it down,
and started working on the frame, keeping what was
necessary, cutting out what wasn’t… and fabricating
custom, stronger, more performance-oriented
pieces where they were needed. The front end has
been completely tube-framed, and uses a host of
S13 suspension components & mounts, including:
lower control arms, modified S13 knuckles, tension
rods, and a complete S13 rack and pinion. The front
coilovers are Stance GR+ coils for a S13 with 16kg
spring rates.
For the rear suspension setup, Andrew back-halfed the
factory frame to encase a Mustang Cobra independent
rear suspension. The rear bed stayed intact. And the
truck now uses Proma Star QA1 adjustable shocks
with 9kg springs along with Airlift bags for ride height
adjustment.
Popping the hood not only reveals the beautiful tubeframe
nose, but also the VVTi 2JZ power plant. The
worked-over 2JZ sits in the bay with custom-made
engine mounts, and features a multitude of custom
upgrades. The stand-out is most definitely the
T304 stainless, bottom-mount exhaust manifold…
once again made by Andrew’s two hands. Attached
to that beautiful manifold is a Comp Turbo CT3B
6262 turbocharger, with boost being regulated by
a TurboSmart Hypergate 45mm wastegate. The
compressed air is chilled via a Garrett intercooler, and
fed into the motor via a stage-3 ported factory intake
manifold… while the exhaust is expelled through a
custom downpipe and one-off center-exit exhaust.
Controlled via a Haltech Platinum 2000 EMS and fed
by a Deatschwerks fuel pump with 1000cc Injector
Dynamics injectors… the JZ-powered S10 put down
507rwhp at 21psi on 93-octane.
