- GEORGIA TECH shot a 54-hole 19-under-par 845 and defeated Clemson in<br />

two playoff holes to capture the 20<strong>15</strong> ACC Men’s Golf Championship at the<br />

Old North State Club in New London, North Carolina.<br />

- Georgia Tech’s Anders Albertson, Louisville’s Robin Sciot-Siegrist, and<br />

Virginia Tech’s Trevor Cone shot 11-under par for ACC Championship<br />

weekend and were named co-individual medalists.<br />

- Georgia Tech also led ACC teams in NCAA Championship competition with a<br />

ninth-place finish in stroke play. Florida State placed 11th.<br />

- Duke’s Jake Shuman tied for 16th place to lead all ACC golfers in individual<br />

NCAA competition. Shuman shot a four-day score of 289.<br />

- The five ACC teams that advanced to the NCAA Golf Championship following<br />

the final round of regional play were the most from the conference since<br />

five also advanced in 2010. Clemson, Duke and Virginia also advanced in<br />

addition to Georgia Tech and Florida State. Louisville’s Robin Sciot-Siegrist<br />

earned a spot in the Championship as an individual.<br />

- Florida State finished the regular season ranked No. 1 nationally by GolfStat.<br />

- ACC Player of the Year Ollie Schniederjans of Georgia Tech became the sixth<br />

repeat winner of that honor. He also spent part of the season holding the<br />

No. 1 spot in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and was named to the Palmer<br />

Cup Team.<br />

- Georgia Tech’s Anders Albertson and Virginia’s Denny McCarthy became<br />

the <strong>15</strong>th and 16th players in league history to earn All-ACC honors four<br />

times in their careers.<br />
