EDUCATION NEW QUALIFICATIONS AREA ON WEBSITE If you’ve recently visited the website you might have noticed some exciting new changes in the Qualifications area… in fact the area has been completely re-designed and new content included to better serve the needs of any visitor to the site looking for information about CICM qualifications. Peter Collinson, Director of Marketing and Business Development at CICM explains more about why the decision was taken to re-develop this area of the CICM website and highlights some of the key features. THE CICM website is visited by around 40,000 people every month and the qualifications pages are consistently amongst the most heavily viewed pages. I believe there are a number of reasons for this: not only do employers and members see direct benefit from CICM qualifications and training, but essentially they have become the standard for the credit profession; in fact many employers now demand CICM qualifications at the pre-qualification stage of their recruitment process. Development of qualified credit professionals is an area of increasing focus in our industry and the high demand for CICM qualifications reinforces our role in this, not just at entrylevel but also in the number of members progressing through to more advanced qualifications that entitle them to use CICM letters after their name, demonstrating their pride and professionalism to others. So what’s new?… Well first and foremost you will notice that the area has a new, more modern, look and feel, and the content has been enhanced significantly to better serve the needs of members who are part-qualified as well as those with little or no knowledge of CICM qualifications. It’s also ‘media responsive’ – that means it will automatically adopt the most appropriate styling, navigation and design depending on the device you are accessing it from, be it your workstation, laptop, tablet or smartphone. The three key areas of study, Credit Management, Money and Debt Advice and Enforcement are clearly presented as separate sections to aid usability, and those who have visited this area previously will notice that you can now review all the available study options for each module. Virtual classrooms are a popular option but you can now also check if there are locations in your area where you can study, if attending a physical class suits your learning style better. You can also now get an immediate estimate of cost and print relevant pages from the website to support personal development discussions with your manager – and once you’ve started studying there’s a Learner Support section containing additional information and advice to help you achieve a fantastic outcome.
