EVENTS<br />

Once again this year we’ll be running a full programme of educational <strong>and</strong> networking events for our<br />

members, <strong>and</strong> this year we’ll also be focusing on organisation <strong>and</strong> personal performance-enhancement<br />

with a programme of regional workshops. In addition, we’ll be running a series of webinars – the first<br />

series is already confirmed <strong>and</strong> will be a quarterly regulations update presented by Regulatory Strategies.<br />

Throughout the year we’ll be announcing additional webinars covering a range of topics <strong>and</strong> key updates<br />

– keep an eye out for further details. Most events are now confirmed as per the schedule below but keep<br />

checking the CICM website <strong>and</strong> your ‘In Brief’ monthly newsletter to ensure you don’t miss anything.<br />

IN the first half of the year we’ll be<br />

running a new workshop called<br />

‘Developing a killer <strong>Credit</strong> Policy’<br />

which will not only highlight why it’s so<br />

important to have an effective credit policy<br />

but also give guidance on how to go about<br />

developing one <strong>and</strong> what it should contain.<br />

Because this is a workshop there will be<br />

plenty of opportunity to get personal help<br />

<strong>and</strong> advice on developing a credit policy<br />

that is right for your organisation.<br />

Later in the year we will be focusing<br />

on your personal development with<br />

a workshop called ‘Personal skills;<br />

revisiting the basics’. This workshop<br />

will revisit key personal skills <strong>and</strong> provide<br />

Developing a killer <strong>Credit</strong> Policy<br />

a really useful refresher on areas that will<br />

help you to perform better <strong>and</strong> with more<br />

confidence in your workplace, for example<br />

stakeholder management, business report<br />

writing, presentation techniques, customer<br />

service skills etc.<br />

These two workshops will run in London,<br />

the Midl<strong>and</strong>s the North-West <strong>and</strong> Leeds<br />

<strong>and</strong> to bring the workshops to life, they will<br />

be led by experts from CICM’s Learning<br />

& Development team, <strong>and</strong> supported by<br />

industry experts.<br />

In addition to the above workshops,<br />

we will also have a focus this year on the<br />

latest credit <strong>and</strong> collections solutions<br />

available out there. So we’ll be bringing<br />

our ‘<strong>Credit</strong> Solutions Showcase’ to<br />

London <strong>and</strong> Manchester to give you the<br />

opportunity to see <strong>and</strong> discuss the latest<br />

products that are available from a range of<br />

top credit solutions providers – all in one<br />

place! Not only is this a great opportunity<br />

to see <strong>and</strong> hear more about the products<br />

that are available in <strong>2016</strong>, but it will also<br />

give you a better underst<strong>and</strong>ing of current<br />

trends <strong>and</strong> opportunities, maybe provide<br />

answers to some of your questions, let you<br />

share experiences, <strong>and</strong> of course, build<br />
