Soward is another Panther with some intriguing upside. In 2015 Soward saw a huge drop off from his
2014 efforts, his average falling by more than 11 points to just 30. Soward’s drop occurred primarily
in his attacking stats and kick metres. The drop in attacking stats should come as no surprise
considering how inept the Panthers were last season, and his drop in kicking metres is for a related
matter. The Panthers had just 192 errors in 2014 (fourth overall) but this jumped to 267 in 2015
(second worst) and that is a lot of extra sets the Panthers didn’t require Soward to kick at the end of.
Soward had a drop of four points, solely in kick metres, and if the Panthers play better and Soward
gets some more attacking stats a low 40 average isn’t out of the question.

no evidence to suggest he’ll be anything more.
