Hurrell was really bad in 2015, but that makes him very cheap in 2016. Off season reports have him
in the gym and not in Burger King so I’ll be willing to take a gamble on Hurrell recapturing his old
form as he’s got the ability to be a machine. However, the only sort of machine Hurrell was in 2015
was an error machine, he committed 17 errors in his first 8 games before settling down with just 1 in
his last 4 games. He only committed 11 all season in 2014 with more game time, so I expect those
numbers to come down. I also expect a fit Hurrell will go back to something resembling his 2014
level of tackle busts, he made 3.7 a game in 2014 and that dropped to 2 a game in 2015.

Vatuvei had his contract extended by another three years, which means he’ll finish his NRL career as
a one club player. That should be enough for him to pass Stacey Jones’ appearances record,
although Simon Mannering will get there first and probably extend it beyond Manu’s reach. Vatuvei
increased his fantasy production thanks to increasing his run metres and tackle breaks. He’s always
likely to stay around the mid 30’s range making him an unhelpful fantasy option.
