● Do not trade rage. Just trade to either maximise money or for injuries/byes. I fail this one
every year
● Study the stats/minutes played, check www.renegadesfs.com every week, and be aware of
injuries and players returning that could affect your potential trade in's minutes going
forward. Watch the games to see how a player actually plays.
● Don't quit on players too early. If you like a mid-ranger before the season for a reason, not
just that everyone is talking about them, don't trade them out after 2-3 middle-of-the-field
performances. Trust your gut.
● Don’t buy into the garbage of "this player is training well so that means he should kill it this
year". It’s all subjective crap unless there is genuine evidence of increased mins or greater
role to justify points increase.
● Leave bye planning until round 5/6 and pick your initial team based on who will score the
most points leading up to the byes.
● Too many teams start with a gun 13 and a horrible 14-17, spread the love and pick a solid 17
● Captain cam Smith!
● Don’t take too many risks until the later rounds. Play it conservative early with proven point
scorers and watch your rank climb through others’ risky mistakes.
● Don't bitch when you trade in a player who scores 20 after scoring 100 the previous week.
● Don’t base any selection on performances at the Nines.
● The major difference between the top coaches and the average coaches is their trade
strategy. Have a theoretical dollar value every trade must be worth to you (whether to make
cash, not loose cash or make points, etc.) and ensure every trade you make meets those
criteria.
● Don't trade rage, and never chase last week’s scores unless they're a notable gun
● Don't trade in mid-range players after 2-3 good performances. They are mid-range for a
reason. They'll come back to burn you.
● 55+ point average makes someone a gun. Until they hit that, they are not a gun. Pick Cam
Smith
● Don't pick your starting squad based on their suitability for the bye period.
● If you're playing Overall, make sure you have a full 25 man team saved for round 1, lame
excuses like failhub screwed up just doesn’t cut it.
● Refer to RFS website each week for all your Fantasy needs.
