If so, your child will LOVE a Young Rembrandts Cartoon class. Our students will learn how to personify inanimate objects, as they breathe life into everyday clocks. Popular pets will also see the cartoon treatment as they’re transformed into colorful characters. Then we will imagine ourselves traveling to far away worlds as we illustrate amazing alien beings. We will also demonstrate to our students that drawing toys can be just as much fun as playing with them. All this and more await our students. We will be exploring chess tactics such as pins, forks and skewers while playing many chess related games like “Take Me” and “Crazy Queen”. Students will rise through 8 levels, from Cadet to Admiral, learning new strategies and earning prizes with every promotion. CheckMates Chess Academy focuses on teaching students of all skill levels. Our unique curriculum makes learning chess fun and classes entertaining. Parents can follow their child’s progress through workbooks and online support. Play Longer, Live Stronger Pre Ballet 1 & 2: This class introduces the child to dance through music, rhythm and creative movements. It fosters your child’s natural instincts to dance. Register your child according to his or her age at the of class. Dance Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and hair in a bun. Youth Ballet/Tap Combo: An introduction or continuation to classical ballet and tap dance. The dancer will learn basic ballet positions, basic tap steps, progressions and terminology. Dance Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes and hair in a bun. Youth & Teen Hip Hop/Jazz: An introduction or continuation of hip hop/ jazz dance. Learn basic jazz and hip hop steps and technique as well as up-to-date movements using today’s most popular music. Dance Attire: Black leotard, black jazz pants, black jazz or hip hop shoes, hair pulled back. Ballet 6 & Pointe: Designed for the serious dancer, this class studies Classical Ballet and pointe work in detail. The student will work on pointe work as well as perfecting her barre and center technique. Ballet 6 will work in ballet shoes. The instructor’s approval is required to register for this class. Dance Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet (Ballet 6) or pointe shoes (Pointe) and hair in a bun. Male attire for all classes: fitted white t-shirt, black jazz or fitted exercise pants, and black dance shoes.
