Dear all brothers and sisters in Christ,
We thank God for the just concluded 14 th Annual Conference Session held in Brisbane from 26 to 29
been extracted for the benefit of all our members.
2015-2018 THEME: Transforming the Community: Covenant Disciples & Missions
2015 Being Methodists; Loving God Wholeheartedly
2016 Being Methodists; Growing in Spiritual Holiness
2017 Being Methodists; Reforming the Church
2018 Being Methodists; Transforming the Community
CMCA Slogan: The CMCA exists in Australia to be the flag-bearer of Methodism; to reform the nation,
particularly the Church and to spread scriptural holiness over the land.”
2016 Focus
Building on the 2015 Theme of “Loving God Wholeheartedly,” the 2016 Theme of “Growing in Spiritual
Holiness” continues to emphasize the CMCA vision for a totally Disciplined and Mobilized Church that
is focused on God's Glory in Thought, Word and Deed.
2016 Plans
1. Pastors' Retreat, 6-9 September 2016, Asbury Theological Seminary, Kentucky
• to help pastors reaffirm their calling and identity as Methodist pastors
2. To expand our Methodist connexion and to contribute to the world Methodist family by sending
a pastoral delegation with some lay leaders to the 2016 World Methodist Conference, 31
August - 3 September 2016 in Houston, Texas.
3. Discipleship
• To train more Disciple facilitators and continue to edify people through the Discipleship
program
• Trainers' training, 1 to 4 August 2016, organised by the Disciple Agency of the Methodist
Church in Singapore to be held in Kuching
4. CMCA Pastors to preach sermons based on the selected John Wesley’s sermons on Holy
Living, and on 1 & 2 Peter
• to emphasize holy living (both personal and corporate) and to mobilize members to
become involved in social concerns, and thus to practice social holiness
• to conduct a “Covenant Sunday Service” at the beginning of 2016 so members will make a
covenant to love God with all their hearts, minds and souls.
