Summary Report of the 14 th Annual Session of<br />
The Annual Conference of CMCA<br />

1. Conference theme for 2016 would be: Being Methodists; Growing in Scriptural Holiness.<br />
2. Rev James Siong Ung Kong and Rev Yu Ngee Houng were ordained as Elders whereas<br />
Pastor Kiat Hock Yap was ordained as Deacon of our Annual Conference; and Wilson Liao<br />
was accepted as pastor on- trial;<br />
3. Our Annual Conference Session approved Knox Preaching Point and Hobart Preaching<br />
Centre to be constituted as Local Churches starting January 2016 and shall be known as<br />
Glory Methodist Church and Faith Methodist Church respectively;<br />
4. Laity Seminar on “Growing in Scriptural Holiness” will be held in Melbourne, Victoria with<br />
Rev Dr. King Tai Tie as the speaker on 20 Feb 2016;<br />
5. The Aldersgate Seminar will be held on 21 May 2016 for LCEC members and fellowship<br />
committee members in the various Districts;<br />
6. Aldersgate Sunday on 22 May 2016 will be set aside as Heritage Sunday with offering<br />
collected to be remitted to Annual Conference;<br />
7. Board of Christian Education continues to conduct Disciple Facilitators training (as required)<br />
at various districts;<br />
8. LAMM will continue to conduct courses in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney;<br />
9. All Local preachers must audit a course offered by LAMM (or any other courses in theological<br />
studies);<br />
10. All Pastors must have “working with children” check; Police Check and as the requirements<br />
to renew their licence to preach starting 2016;<br />
11. Pastors’ Retreat will be from 6 to 9 Sept 2016 after the World Methodist Conference to be<br />
held at Asbury Theological College, Wilmore, Kentucky, USA.<br />
12. Encouraging all local churches / preaching centres to participate the Christmas Bowl Appeal<br />
hosted by NCCA;<br />
13. The Annual Conference Session resolved for Morley Preaching Centre, Perth WA to<br />
purchase the proposed real property as the Local Council having approved the change of<br />
use of the premise to religious purpose to be used as a church.<br />
