plans by turning the Medicine
Buddha Hill into a reality for those
seeking a healing sanctuary.
When it comes to being, it will be
the first of its kind in the region
and will feature a 15-foot statue
of the Medicine Buddha that
acts as a focal point to transmit
healing energy for seekers who
require both inner and outer
healing.
It will also be decked with a
circumambulation path and will
have meditation and prayer
spaces along with retreat pavilions
for long-term retreatants.
“Curious visitors who wish to
understand and experience KFR’s
vision for the world are welcome
on the second Saturday of every
month,” says Pastor Henry Ooi,
the Head of Kechara Forest
Retreat.
Here, visitors can participate in
our well-received Inner Retreat
Programme, attend the pastor’s
blessings, take a tour of KFR and
volunteer in our aviary, fish pond
and herb garden.
The aim is to build a community
of dedicated students, volunteers
and staff who share Tsem
Rinpoche’s vision of creating a
conscious community not only
in this part of the country, but
across the world.
By attending the activities,
visitors can share their joy and
experience with others and bring
home what they have learnt so
that more can reap the benefit of
KFR’s vision.
KFR is not only a place for one to
heal, rejuvenate and get inspired
but also a place to study one’s
mind, body and spirit and share
what one has learnt with others.

and we hope that more generous
