Sonam earlier
worked as
an assistant
director for
Sanjay Leela
Bhansali’s
Black and it
was then, she
came to the
screen through
Saawariya.
"
movie is titled as ‘Neerja’.
Needless to say Sonam
played the lead character
and she perfectly took on the
responsibility, carrying the
entire film on her shoulders.
After watching the premiere
in Mumbai, several biggies of
Bollywood said that, Sonam’s
performance in Neerja would
be an inspiring masterpiece,
which will make India proud.
Aspiration to hold
megaphone
Sonam, who was thrilled
with the response from the
biggies, expressed her wish
to direct the stories of many
other strong women.
“I will certainly become a
director as I think there are
more women required in
that field. I think, in the next
couple of years, I will direct
a film that will talk about
incredible stories about strong
women,” Sonam recently
said.
It is to be noted that, Sonam
earlier worked as an assistant
director for Sanjay Leela
Bhansali’s Black and it was
then, she came to the screen
through Saawariya.
With that experience, she is
now aiming to direct femalecentric
films. Moreover
boosted with the success of
Neerja, Sonam is currently
inquiring about the lady
oriented biopics.
Hope the young aspiring lady,
will soon direct a film and thus
make a difference from her
fellow actresses.
