During their visit, students were tasked with a fact finding hunt
around the museum, designed to compliment both their CCF and
History studies. After an hours mission, teams returned and
handed in their sheets for marking and the tense wait to see who
won began.
To alleviate the tension, students headed to the interactive
section of the museum, where our budding cadets were able to
practice their drop aims delivering aid parcels, test their pilot's
vision and get to grips with the physics that allows planes to fly.
They also went into a 4D simulator. Students were thrown around
in their seats, splashed with water, and blasted with hot air to
recreate the experience of WW2 pilots. Quite the experience
indeed!
After a quick lunch stop and another look around the museum to
have a closer look at the planes, the scores were in. A tie resulted
in a dramatic tie-breaker round in the minibus and our winners
were crowned. Well done!
Students were a credit to the school throughout the day with
members of the public stopping to compliment their
professionalism and enthusiasm. We’re extremely proud of all
Cadets who attended.
We salute you!
