Norway Yearbook - 1992

Preface
The Statistical Yearbook of Norway 1992 contains figures for recent years from various fields of
Norwegian official statistics. The yearbook also contains main figures from other countries
selected from international statistics. The figures make up 542 tables classified according to
subject and give information on subjects like environment, population, social conditions,
industries and economy.
In this year's edition, the 111th issue, the selection of tables is mainly identical to last year's
issue. However, 25 tables with figures of less importance have been replaced by new figures on
cohabitational status, use of contraception method, reading habit and time use. The new tables,
11 in total, contains else figures on disposal of various kinds of equipment, distance to shopping,
culture and recreation facilities and on dwelling standard. Figures from Population and Housing
Census 1990 are included in the yearbook as from this edition.
The Statistical Yearbook is a practical reference book for private and professional use. With its
comprehensive index and source references the yearbook is also a good starting point for all who
search for more detailed statistics.
