Bonuses<br />

by sector and industry<br />

Those working in the Private Sector are more<br />

likely to be eligible for a bonus. Over half of<br />

Private Sector respondents received one in<br />

the last 12 months, compared to just 17% of<br />

workers within the Public Sector. Average<br />

bonuses in the Private Sector are also higher<br />

at 11% of salary, compared to 6% in the<br />

Public Sector.<br />

Professionals working in Marketing,<br />

Advertising and PR, Banking, Finance and<br />

Insurance, and Pharmaceuticals and Life<br />

Sciences were the most likely to have received<br />

a bonus. These bonuses were amongst the<br />

highest, but they were surpassed and<br />

equalled by a number of other industries such<br />

as Telecoms, Property, Professional and<br />

Business Services and Healthcare.<br />
