Make-up artist Lauren Hare gives me quick and easy tips and tricks to get a
naturally beautiful look and you can still have that extra ten minutes in bed!
Eyeliner – A little bit of eyeliner goes a long way, a thin
line and a small flick can really bring your eyes out without
using heavy eyeshadows. Using black liquid eyeliner, start at
the inner corner of your eye and draw a thin line along your
eyelid to the outer corner. For the flick you need to draw a diagonal
line from the corner of your water line about 1cm long,
connect the two lines together and fill it in. You can make your
eyeliner thicker if you wish and to clean up any messy bits use
a wet cotton bud. Finish your eye makeup with a thin layer of
mascara to make them eyes pop!
Eyebrows – Everybody has a different shape to
their natural brow. With tweezers pluck the around your
natural eyebrow shape to get rid of those little unnecessary
hairs. Get a thin angled brush and a powder that is
similar to your hair colour and fill in your brows lightly,
an angled brush gives great definition. You can also use
an eyebrow pencil or eyebrow wax but I would recommend
powder as it isn’t too heavy and looks natural.
Lips – No matter how big or plumped your
lips are, using a lip liner will make them stand
out and look fuller. Here I have used a dark
nude liner to outline my lips and filled them
in with a subtle matte lipstick. Nude colours
suit any skin colour and give your lips a nice
natural finish.
Finished Look – Now your three main
features are finished, add a little blush to the
cheeks to give you that all round natural glow.
Remember to use primer before applying any
makeup for a longer lasting look. For a night
look add a deeper shade lipstick and some
eyeshadow to bring out that inner diva!
