Hauptstadt Budapest. Das Mitsingkonzert International 2016 bildet in diesem Jahr
das große Abschlusskonzert des 30. Internationalen Franz-Schubert-Chorwettbewerbs.
For thirteen years now, Rundfunkchor Berlin is inviting keen amateur singers from all over
the world to Berlin to prepare a major work from the symphonic choral repertoire and then
perform it together with the Grammy-winning radio chorus under Simon Halsey’s direction.
The response of participants has been enormous, the acclaim of listeners comparably great.
In 2010 the choral flame of Sing Along was sent to the Aspendos Festival in Turkey. In 2014 we
brought it to the first Sing Along big tour in Budapest, the Hungarian capital. While in 2016,
the International Sing Along Concert is the festive closing concert of the 30th International
Franz Schubert Choir Competition.
